On April 22, 2011, PYP and MYP students from Concordian participated in the annual “International School Chinese Speech Competition” held at Thai Chinese International School (TCIS) in Bangkok. The contest is designed to encourage students to apply their Chinese language skills and to develop their ability to express themselves in Chinese. We are so proud of every student that participated! Special recognition goes to these prize winners:
- Mui ( 陈君美) – Grade 3 – 1st Place in Non-Native Speakers Group, G1-G4
- Bei Bei (杜艺薪) – Grade 3 – 1st Place In Native Speakers Group, G1-G4
- Mable (叶曼) – Grade 6 – 1 st Place in Native Speakers Group, G5-G8
- DD – Grade 8 – 3rd Place in Native Speakers Group, G5-G8
- Joshua – Grade 9 – 1st Place in Non-Native Speakers Group, G9-G12
- Thai – Grade 10 – 1st Place in Native Speakers Group, G9-G12
These wonderful results demonstrate the strength and success of the Chinese curriculum at CIS. We are happy to share this achievement with the CIS community.
