At Concordian the Early Years (EY) section of the school is comprised of Junior Nursery, Nursery, K1, K2 and K3. The EY is part of the PYP with students becoming fully integrated into our IBPYP (International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program) when they enter K1.

The Junior Nursery and Nursery students follow a specially designed inquiry-based program following the model and structure of the IB PYP.  The program is based on purposeful and inquiry-based learning activities which builds upon what the students already know and can do.  Following the IB PYP structure helps to better prepare the students for entry into the program when they enter K1.

Children may join Junior Nursery at two and a half years of age provided they are physically and emotionally able to benefit from the programs we offer. They will be assessed on their readiness before entry, and must be toilet-trained and able to feed themselves before they may join our program.
